99% That Hári broke his wrist

On Sunday the national team hit the ice for two practices however János Hári was at a doctor's visit which ended up being bad news as there is a 99% chance that he will miss the world championships with a broken bone in his wrist.

In the morning the team was on the ice at 10:00 and in the afternoon at 17:00, and in between János Hári had his MRI, with Dr. Ernő Majzik analyzing the results.

There is a sliver of hope that tomorrow an X-ray will be taken and that maybe the wrist is not broken but according to Dr. Majzik Jancsi will most likely miss the worlds. “It is broken but I will have to go get an X-ray tomorrow and then have my wrist in a cast for 10-11 weeks.” said Hári.

The rest of the team was on the ice for 100 minutes in the morning however most of the players were off the ice after 75 minutes and were in the gym.

During this time goalie coach Gary Clark had a GoPro out on the ice as he worked out the goalies with the help of Tamás Sille and Viktor Tokaji along with Dániel Kóger who is on his way back from knee surgery.

Zsombor Garát: We have really been working on systems, but we have been breaking this down piece by piece. We usually go over two parts of the system each day during the on ice sessions. We go through some drills and then we implement this in a 5 on 5 setting. With the extra skating sessions I am trying to take advantage of this extra ice time with the coaches. I hope we will continue to put in the hard work and fully take advantage of these 100 minute sessions.

Csaba Kovács: The emphasis is slowly going from the fitness standpoint to more of the tactics and the systems. There are some things we need to work on that came out during the game against Slovenia, which was the fastest game of the three games there, which means we need to work on these elements at a faster pace as well, especially in the neutral zone and in the defensive end. The practices have been different from last week, Chernomaz has been happy with us how we have been really pushing it on the ice, so we won't be doing sprints. It not an excuse but we were not fresh for the Slovenian game, but during the world championships we will only be fresh for the opening game, we need to be able to step up to that level.

István Mestyán: Last week we were going after the basics, now it's all about the tactics so now we are more mentally tired than physically. It is a great feeling to still be here in camp and on the squad. When there were more players to compete against I still went after everything with the same work ethic and I gave a 100%. I am not worrying about the cuts but that I will leave everything on the ice.
