After the close loss to Germany, the Hungarian team could only wait and see what will happen during the French-Belarus game.

The first team event that the players and staff had to be ready for was a reception at the Hungarian consulate in St.Petersburg at three in the afternoon. This was soon followed by a bus trip to the arena to pull for France and hope that they can win and keep Hungary in the A-Pool. During the game some players watched from the stands, others on the TV in the locker room as they packed up their equipment, other on the TV that was in the gym area. The coaching staff could also be found in the stands or in the coaches office.
Needless to say after Belarus scored their third goal of the game the players were not feeling to excited. With Belarus winning 3-0 over France they avoided relegation and Hungary joined Kazakhstan as the other nation relegated down to Division 1/A, which will be held in either Vienna or Kiev between the dates of April 22nd and the 28th.
The team will be travelling back to Budapest Wednesday afternoon and arriving after 11 pm.
