Hungary faced a Romanian squad that was made up of mostly Transylvanians, for the middle game of the three for the weekend. Bence Bálizs got the start between the pipes with Miklós Rajna on the bench. Scratched were the two goalies from the night before Zoltán Hetényi and Peter Sevela along with defensemen Tamás Pozsgai and Bence Szirányi, forwards Csaba Kovács, Ladislav Sikorcin and Friday's game winner Árpád Mihály. However, making into the team was Péter Hetényi, Richárd Nagy, Márk Miskolczi, Adrián Tóth and Attila Németh. The Romanian team stayed the same as the day before.

Just over a minute into the game Bálint Magosi took a pass from Tyler Metcalfe who threw it on net, as Gellért Ruczuj made the save János Vas took a poke at it and the puck popped in for the first goal of the game. "During the game as we were going down low, it felt that on any shift we could score a goal like that one," said Metcalfe after the game. At 7:18 into the first period Balázs Ladányi made it 2-0: as the puck from István Bartalis skidded in front of the net Ladányi flipped a backhanded pass into the empty net.

In the second period the fans had to wait some time for the 3rd goal of the game, at the 28:03 mark of the game Benjámin Nemes fed the puck to Balázs Somogyi whos first shot was stopped but he stuffed the rebound in. It seems that the 4th goal came at the right time because Tamás Sille was planning to give each keeper half a game, at the halfway point János Vas put the puck onto the tape of Adrián Hüffner's stick from behind the goal who tapped it into the cage.

The third period started great for Hungary when István Sofron tried to make a pass to next to the goal and it somehow trickled into the net for the 5th and final goal of the night. "Just like the goal that I assisted on we cycled the puck around but this time it deflected off a skate. I tried to make the pass but instead just put in on net and then it some how went in," said Sofron of his goal.
"In today's game the result wasn't important but that we played our system and we stuck with it," said Tamás Sille after the game. Romania head coach Kjell G. Lindqvist sai, throughout the tournament that he is satisfied with the way his team played and they are just trying to get more experience for the young guys. On a brighter note Csanád Fodor of the Romanian team said that despite the loss it was still a great environment.

Ukraine falls against Poland
Ukraine opened up the scoring against Poland 41 seconds into the period when Yevgeniy Belukhin took a nice pass from Roman Blagoy and flipped past the outstretched goalie. Forty four seconds later Mikolaj Lopuski put his own rebound in the cage to tie everything up. Ten seconds before the end of the period Olexander Toryanyk scored to give Ukraine the lead as they headed into the intermission.

In the second period Poland had a two man advantage when Marcin Kolusz made Ukraine pay. Adam Baginski netted two goals, an equal strength and a power play goal. The icing on the cake was a two-on-zero goal that Leszek Laszkiewicz put in the net.

After the game Ukraine's coach Andrei Nazarov said that they made a lot of mistakes and did not score when they had to, Poland scored on their chances and power plays. "We came out slow but luckily we bounced back from it," said Poland"s assistant coach Jacek Plachta. He continued "we worked hard and played hard, we came to win."
