Diego SCANDELLA (coach, Hungary):
- A shotout is like a flip of a coin! I think we created the chaneces to win the game before it went to penalties. We were fine in overtime, chance after chance, we just could not burry them! Conceding six goals is too much, so we know which area we have to work on in the near future! We need time to get better for the World Championships, that is going to be our top issue!
Barry Smith (coach, The Netherlands):
- In the first period we pressured Hungary and they didn’t expect that from us. Our guys worked their tail off and we got some lucky bounces as well. We were ready for them in the second where they were the better team. Both teams went for it in the third, where we played as a team! We really needed this, so we can continue to build our programme. Our team is really young, this was their first time in a situation like this and they were very brave! Maybe if we play Hungary seven times in a row we would only win two, but tonight we only needed to win one, and we did it!
