Another round of Player Movement

2014.11.27. 15:06 |

The last couple of days every time a person looks up another player has been let go by a MOL League team or they have signed someone. The latest of these is longtime DAB.Docler player Ákos Kiss.

Ákos Kiss has played every minute of his hockey career in the colors of Dunaújváros except for part of one season spent with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL. Kiss and DAB.Docler have decided to part ways, however he will not stay without a team long since he will be moving on to Ferencváros of the MOL League, where he will be joining up with Richárd Hárdi who had made the same switch only weeks earlier. There has been other news from Dunaújváros as assistant coach David Leger has accepted a job in Canada, Hunor Strenk will be taking over as being the right hand man for head coach Don MacLean. Former player Zbynek Hrdel has found employment in the German 3rd division with Peiting.

Interestingly enough another MOL League player has joined the German 3rd division as well, David Pojkar who was let go by HSC Csíkszereda signed with Weiden. Also part of the house cleaning that has taken place in Transylvania was Marek Curilla, Niklas Sjölund and head coach Christer Dreberg, assistant coach Sándor Gál will be the interim coach until a new one is brought in. HSC did act quickly on the player front as they have already brought in two new imports. Former 2004 5th round pick of the Washington Capitals Pasi Salonen from Finland has been signed, he split last season in the Mestis and Kazakstan. The other player is Shane Heffernan from Kitchener Ontario, he played mostly in lower junior leagues in Canada before coming over to Europe. He started the season with Katowice in Poland where he was playing with his younger brother.

A quick run down on a couple of other moves is that ex Ferencváos defenceman Dominik Kramer has signed with the French team Gap and Juraj Durco finally found a home after playing with Miskolc last season, Durco looks to be finishing out the season with Nové Zámky
