Attila Rajz Passes Away Suddenly

Former national team player Attila Rajz has passed away at the age of 38.

In a Hungarian recruitment festival game in Dunaújváros Rajz left the game in the first period because of a pain in his leg. He showered changed and planned to watch the rest of the game from the bench. He got sick while he was behind the bench and needed immediate medical attention, despite the efforts of the onsite doctor he passed away at the age of 38.

Attila was born on March 16th, 1976 in Csíkszereda, Transylvania, in the early 1990s he signed with his brother goalie Tamás Rajz with Alba Volán. He would play in Budapest for Ferencváros as well before retiring and getting into coaching in 2010. He represented the Hungarian national team at the U18 and U20 levels as well as appearing in three world championships at the senior level.
