At the beginning of last season it looked as if Balázs Ladányi had moved back home to Dunaújváros and his home club of DAB.Docler to spend the last couple of years of his great career, but the club and the player could not come to an agreement on a contract extension.
Ladányi spent his first eleven season of his professional career in Dunaujváros before moving on to Újpest for two seasons, becoming Hungarian leading scorer in his second season.
After over a decade of being a prolific scorer he went abroad for two years in Briancon, France where he teamed up with fellow Hungarians for two seasons, Viktor Szélig and Márton Vas.
In 2009 Ladányi came back to Hungary and joined EBEL side Fehérvár where we spent almost four years, in the end because of some differences with the management he finished his fourth season out with Italian team Bolzano. After he realized that he wouldn’t go back to DAB for the 2014-15 season he stated that he was open to moving to one of the other Hungarian MOL League teams except for Újpest. So far Ladányi is the only signing that Debrecen has made for the upcoming season.
After four seasons in Romania the former Czech national team player Vaclav Novák has decided to sign with Ferencváros. The Liberec native played in the Czech Extraleague for both Sparta Praha and his hometown club before moving to the Russian league for a short spell. Novák would again spend the best part of the next three seasons in the Czech Republic followed with one in Slovakia before moving to Csíkszereda in 2010.
Even though he has reached the big 4-0 Novák still has a few more goals left in him that should greatly help FTC in the upcoming season.
No financial terms have been released in either deal at this time.
