Two coaching changes in two days: after the first five games of the new MOL League season two teams have already decided to go in a different direction than what they started the season. Brasov and coach Miroslav Ihnacak decided to part ways whereas with Ferencváros the club has sacked the coaching duo of Hakan Nygren and Tamás Dobos.

ihnacakIn Brasov Greg Lindqvist was the head coach for all of the 2012-13 season and the first part of the 2013-14 and later was brought back as an assistant coach to Kari Rauhanen with whom he steered the club to the finals last season but came up on the short end against Nové Zámky.

After such a successful season Brasov expected to be in the title race this year, but head coach Kari Rauhanen joined Romanian side Dunarea Galati and Miroslav Ihnacak was brought in.

Right now the club is in sixth place, the final playoff spot and Ihnacak stated that because of family issues he was not able to concentrate on his job so the two parties decided to go their separate ways.

In the meantime Rauhanen been let go by Galati and Lindqvist is unemployed too.

However, László Kovács was named the interim head coach until Zoltán Olti-Pasca and the management decides what their next move will be.

nygrenIn Ferencváros the management decided to sack the coaching tandem after a 5-3 loss at Újpest on Sunday.

This is not the same UTE team as last season, Fradi had a shootout win against Brasov and scratched out a win against Debrecen which has a short roster and was playing with two lines for most of the game.

The coaching duo of Dobos and Nygren have been together for a couple of years and the Swedish coach has brought in a number of excellent import players throughout his tenure but apparently managment expected more after the first five games than being in fifth place in the league.

Youth team coach Ferenc Szakács has been named the interim head coach with club legend György Orbán being named his assistant.
