Because of an injury forward Bálint Magosi will be missing the upcoming Olympic Qualifying tournament that runs from February 11th through the 14th where Hungary will be facing Lithuania, Estonia and Poland.
The originally released 33 man roster will be one less as Briancon forward Bálint Magosi will not be able to play because of a fibula injury that will keep him out 6-8 weeks. He should be back and ready for the World Championships in May.
“It was unfortunate hit that I gave to an opposing player when I broke my fibula,” said Magosi.
“I went back out onto the ice for my next shift but when I took a shot I really felt the pain. In the hospital they told me it would be 6-8 weeks, I know it could be worse if I had torn a ligament or anything.”
At this time head coach Rich Chernomaz has not called in anyone in to replace Magosi.
