There have been some changes made to the training camp roster for the upcoming EIHC 4 Nations tournament. Gergely Géczi, Tamás Gröschl, Árpád MIhály and Balázs Sömögyi are out and have been replaced by Ákos Kiss, Dávid Szappanos and Nathan Martine.
As a head coach Rich Chernomaz and his staff have to be ready to make changes on the fly in the middle of a game, a coaching staff also has adjust to personnel changes as well. Balázs Somogyi, Gergely Géczi have to miss the training camp as well as the tournament because of injury, whereas Árpád Mihály will not be available because of the number of games Brasov has been playing and will be playing in the next couple of weeks. Tamás Gröschl will be out because of family matters, Tamás and his wife will be expecting their first child sometime this week.
Also not stepping on the ice but will be with the national team is Zoltán Hetényi who has been battling life threatening brain fever since the middle of the summer.
Taking the place of the players who can not play is a trio of DAB.Docler players in forwards Ákos Kiss and Dávid Szappanos as well as Nathan Martine who is in the process of getting his Hungarian citizenship. Martine falls in the same category as Jesse Dudas and Karol Csányi in that neither of them are eligible to play for the national team in the upcoming world championships but are cosidered as future prospects.
There are still questions surrounding the health of the three injured Fehérvár AV19 players, István Bartalis, Dániel Kóger and Arnold Varga.
Training camp opens up the afternoon of November 3rd with an afternoon practice with two practice sessions on the 4th with cuts being made after the afternoon practice. Rich Chernomaz will go with 28 players for the tournament that runs from the 7-9 of November.
