
The CHL continued on Saturday as Krefeld won their first Champions Hockey League group stage game with Istvàn Soforon in the lineup. Vilmos Galló with Linköping and Balàzs Sebök with KalPa will play today.
The German club Krefeld picked up their first point in the CHL season, István Soforn’s team lost their first two games to Kärpät Oulu by the scores of 2-0 and 4-1. Game three was in the Austrian capital as Krefeld visited the Vienna Capitals.
Vienna had a one goal lead twice in the game but every time Krefeld was able to teh game back up. In the last minute of regulation Daniel Pietta took a pass from Sofron and put the puck in the back of the net to send the game into overtime.
After a goalless overtime Krefeld won the game in the shootout to take up two points.
On Sunday there will be games worth watching as both Vilmos Galló and Balázs Sebők will be stepping on the ice as well.
