CHL: Mixed Day

2015.09.03. 23:16 |

The clubs of three Hungarians stepped on the ice in the Champions Hockey League with mixed results.

Linköping started the day off with a win over Finnish team IFK however 19 year old forward Vilmos Galló was not in the lineup. Galló has been battling an illness all week, there was very little chance that he would have played today and will probably not be available for the game at Bern as well. Linköping have already advanced to the knockout stage of the competition.

The second club to set on the ice was KalPa who had Balázs Sebők in their lineup, Sebők finished the game with three shots on net in the loss to Stavanger, on Saturday they will play the Czech club Ocelari Trinec to close out the group stage. KalPa and Sebők need to pick up one point to advance from the group stage.

After beating the Vienna Capitals on the roald Krefeld came up short and were eliminated from advancing out of the group stage in a crazy loss. Krefeld took a 1-0 lead but Vienna tied it up only minutes later. At one point Krefeld was down 3-1 but the Germans managed to flip the score to 5-3 in their favor. In the end Vienna won 6-5 in a game that István Sofron did not step onto the ice.

Back Wings Linz will be playing on Sunday against Düsseldorf.
