Up until now a coach's decision or illness has prevented Vilmos Galló from debuting in the Champions Hockey League. Tonight he made his debut against Liberec.
In the round of 32 Linköping face the Czech club Liberec, up until now Galló had been a part of the squad and sat on the bench but now he actually stepped on the ice. Galló started on as the left winger on the third line, but the good news ends there, he only played one shift in the team's 4-1 loss.
“I had one shift and that was after a bad period” said Galló after the game. “Its really hard to say anything, it was a really strange game”
Based on only 1,993 people being in attendance both teams used the game as a preseason tune up match. The second leg will be played in Sweden on October 6th.
