
DAB.Docler traveled to Vojens Denmark to play in the 3rd round group stage of the Continental Cup and having a shot at reaching the Super final.
In the first game Dunaújváros faced the host team SonderjyskE Vojens. After a scoreless first period the home team struck first 4:11 into the second period when Pauli Levokari setup Anders Forester for the lead. Later in the period Balázs Somogyi tied it up at 1-1 when on a shorthanded goal, less than a minute later Adrián Hüffner scored an even strength goal to give the Hungarian club a one goal lead after two periods. After a scoreless third period DAB.Docler took away the three points for the win and the lead in the tournament after the first day since the Stavenger Oilers beat Neman Grodno 4-3 in a shootout.
On Saturday DAB took on a stronger side in the Oilers as they looked to get another step closer to the finals. The Oilers struck first at the 14:48 into the game as Martin Strandfeldt's shot got past the DAB keeper Peter Sevela. The second period did not go Dunaújváros' way as Anders Henriksen scored 1:15 into the second period, the opponent went up by three when they capitalized on a 5 on 3 power play on Christian Dahl-Andersen's goal. Jean-Michel Daoust made it 4-0 with power play goal less than a minute later. The Hungarian club was finally able to get on the scoreboard by the way of a Zsolt Azari power play goal, Nikandrosz Galanisz and Ákos Kiss registered the assists. For good measure Stavanger scored two more before the end of the period when Petter Roste-Fossen and Henrik Medus scored. For the third period DAB switched keepers and when with Tamás Kiss in place of Sevela. In the final period the Oilers scored twice more with Henriksen registering his second of the game and Joakim Hjelm putting the puck past Kiss for the last goal of the game.
In the third and last match of the weekend DAB.Docler took on Neman Grodno. Nikandrosz Galanisz put Dunaújváros up 1-0 on an even strength goal that was assisted by Ákos Kiss and Zsolt Azari. After a scoreless second period Ivan Miadzel tied it up at 1-1 5:16 into the third period. With Tamás Gröschl serving a penalty for tripping Miadzel had his second of the game for his team to take the lead. With DAB unable to score a tying goal they pulled Sevela for the extra attacker, Alexander Pavlovich put the puck in the empty cage and set the score at 3-1.
DAB finishes the tournament in 3rd place.
