The General Assembly of the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation had to elect a new president after Miklós Németh had stepped down.
The HIHF did not elect a new president as no reasonable candidate was found by the search committee in time. On a temporary basis current federation vice president Csaba Kovács was elected with Dr. Zsuzsanna Kolbenheyer becoming the temporary vice president.
Kovács had been responsible for the technical side as VP with Kolbenheyer holding a number of positions in the past both at the federation and at the IIHF as well.
