The Disciplinary Commission no.2015-16/023 decree

The Disciplinary Committee investigated the MOL League game MOL 153 (UTE–DHK) where Vladislav TROSHIN (DHK), was being penalized for 2+2 minutes for roughing (ROUGH), and 10 minutes misconduct penalty (MISC). Earlier during the game the player was penalised for 10 minute misconduct penalty, the second MISC turned into a 20 min GA-MI Game Misconduct Penalty. The Committee made the following conclusion:

The player after 47 minutes, dropped his gloves before a scuffle, and started a fight. The two players struggled 2+2 minute penalty, while the player who dropped the gloves has received a disciplinary penalty.

IIHF RULE 141–FIGHTING

DEFINITION: A player who punches an opponent during game action, after a whistle, or any time during the regular course of a game during a prolonged player confrontation. A player who removes his glove(s) or helmet with the intention of engaging in a confrontation with an opponent will be assessed a misconduct penalty in addition to any other penalties.

According to the Disciplinary Committee's statement, dropping the gloves is against the rules, and the referees penalized the player for the adequate penalty.

The Disciplinary Committee upholds the imposed penalty by the referee.
