The original plans changed because the Zvolen U20 team was unable to play, taking their place was the U16 team against whom Hungary won in dominating fashion 9-2.
Because of a rash of injuries the Zvolen U20 team had to pull out of the game against the Hungarian U18 team, taking their place was the U16 team. Getting the start in net was Máté Sági who let in a goal in the first and the third period and had a clean sheet in the second period.
Scoring for Hungary was Balázs Varga with a hat trick, Bertalan Pós had a brace with András Selmeczi, Kevin Szeghalmi, Zsolt Szabó and Laci Horváth scoring one each.
Head Coach András Horváth: We had asked the players to stick to the game plan as much as possible which happened. We tried to over complete things at the start but once I asked the players to simple simple things started to come together. Tomorrow we will be playing against the U18 team who will be much stronger than the team that we faced today. It will be a hard game.
