American Boston based rock band, the Dropkick Murphys are on tour for their 20th anniversary. One of their stops was Budapest, where members of the Hungarian national team had a chance to see them live in concert.
The Dropkick Murphys big hockey fans and more specifically Boston Bruins fans, in music video for their song “Going out in Style” Bobby Orr makes an appearance.
Two years ago when the band was in Budapest they received a jersey, which then they wore that night on stage.
Overall it was great concert that everyone in attendance enjoyed. National team defenseman Zsombor Garát especially enjoyed it as he spent the past two season in the same area that the Dropkick Murphys come from.
“It was really exciting, finally we had real hockey band from another country playing here in Hungary.” said the younger player, “I think who ever came, made the right decision since the Dropkick Murphys made an excellent environment”
