In the second period the game stayed chippy, with Martin Saluga in the penalty box Diósgyőri VTK scored a nice tic-tac-toe power play goal with Roland Hajós finishing the series of pass that came from the sticks of Jon Booras and Kalvin Sagert. DVTK took the lead on the powerplay when Keegan Dansereau redirected a shot from Brad smith past Vay. The score stayed the same for most of the third period until Keegan Dansereau flipped the puck over Vay to make it 3-1.

DVTK Head coach Jason Morgan: We started pretty slow and sloppy, probably championship hangover... We didn't need or want it, however, we got back into control, and took over in the period. We are going to face a different animal we faced all season. Great team with depth, and this is gonna be the last game we spend together, after it we want to look into the mirror and see that we left everything on the ice. They still are going to play the next game, but we expect Fehervar to win, now we'll have a shower and see who we'll play.

DHK team manager Koppány Hegedüs: We improved in the MOL League from last season, in the Hungarian Cup we will finish the same as we did last season. The bronze game will not be easy, we took three out of the six games against MAC and we played tight games against Volán.

Balázs Somogyi DVTK forward: Everyone brought their maximum and this was what we could produce, this was not exactly the best game. One of our strengths throughout the season was our penalty kill, and this worked for us tonight. There is no question that we know who we want to face in the finals, it will be a hard game no matter who we face.

Ákos Berta DHK forward: Against UTE I once played defenceman and twice played forward and at that time we won, against Miskolc it is hard for anyone. They have a great team and a great coach, we played a tight game but we came up short. We had scoring chances that we did not take advantage of.
