DAB-Docler snags the bronze

After a some what dissapointing season in the Erste Bank Elite League (EBEL) Fehérvár was able to finish on a happy note by taking home silverware in winning the Hungarian Cup over Miskolc in a 4-0 shutout. Unlike yesterday Fehérvár decided to make a switch in the cage with Bence Bálizs getting the start in place of Miklós Rajna. The move looked to pay off with Bálizs keeping the goal clean. Roland Hajós opened up the scoring in first period at the 6.18 mark when he put the puck past Krisztián Budai from a pass from Filip Novak. Frank Banham closed out the scoring in the period when Tyler Metcalf and Attila Orbán. The second period went by rather quietly, with then two goals being scored in the third by István Sofron (Csaba Kovács, Márton Vas) and Árpád Mihály (Viktor Tokaji). When it was all said and done Fehérvár came out as Cup champions.

In the bronze medal match DAB-Docler beat Ferencváros (FTC) 2-0. The winning goal was already scored at 2.51 into the first period Dávid Szappanos (Nikandrosz Galanisz and Viktor Lindgren) beat the FTC goal. DAB-Docler would strike again halfway through the game to set the final score on a goal by Zsolt Azari (Jozef Mihalik, and Imre Peterdi).
