Seven teams have thrown in their hat to compete for the Hungarian Cup, following a qualification round there will be Final Four, clubs had to turn in applications to host the final weekend.
The qualification round will be played after the quarterfinal round of the MOL League playoffs, after February 14th, with all the games being held mid week. Fehérvár AV19 already has a spot in the Final Four, joining them will be the Hungarian team or teams that make it to the MOL League Finals. The teams that do not make it to the finals will join Ferencváos and MAC Budapest in the qualification round. The qualification round will be a round robin group stage where every team plays each other once with the top teams, whether it is one, two or three, will make it to the Final 4.
The actual finals location will be decided on February 20th, the semi final pairings will be drawn with the two winners playing for the Cup and the two losers playing for the bronze.
The Final 4 is scheduled to be on the weekend of March 27-29th.
