Its that time of the year again when girl’s hockey is celebrated all throughout the world. Hungary each year participates in the IIHF program and that has not changed this year either. The event will be held for big and little girls, younger and older sisters, mothers and grandmothers in the Tüskecsarnok.
One of teh new events added to the program this season is the Global Girls Game that will start at 15:00 in Hungary but is a worldwide event as the name gives it away. There will be multiple games going on throughout the world where teams will be playing in blue and white jerseys, and when the final whistle blows the worldwide total for teh blue team and teh world wide total for the white team will be added up and the team with the more goals will be declared the winner between the two teams. In Budapest the two rosters were filled soon after the event was announced, this proves how popular the sport is becoming in Hungary
The day kicks off at 11 in the morning with registration, entrance is free and they invite everyone with open arms. the girls can take over the ice regardless of their age or skill level. There will be a number of games and competitions as well throughout teh day. At 13:30 there will be a U8 and U10 game with the Global Game closing out the day.
