The Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation elected György Such as their new President at the annual general assembly, after Csaba Kovács stepped down from his position after one year. Dr. Zsuzsanna Kolbenheyer was elected as Vice President.
As it was planned Csaba Kovács Sr. has left his position as President after taking over after Miklós Németh had stepped down a year ago, he also will be leaving the Hungarian Federation all together as he will not be taking back his former Vice President position, which he held for 12 years. Dr.Zsuzsanna Kolbenheyer stepped down from her positions as Technical Vice President, as a formality, and was reelected.
Gábor Ocskay who still had three years left on term as board member also stepped aside and stated that he would not like to hold any position or office in the HIHF.
For the empty Presidential position György Such was the only applicant listed, he would like to restructure the board of the HIHF. With this the three OB1 club representatives, whose terms had expired were replaced by representatives from UTE, FTC and Fehérvár AV19. With Csaba Kovács Sr. and Gábor Ocskay stepping down only one member remains from the board from the previous year, in Miklós Soltész, who personally was not in attendance of the general assembly.
The leadership of the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation will look like the following:
President: Dr. György Such
Vice President: Dr. Zsuzsanna Kolbenheyer
Board Members:
Miklós Soltész
Balézs Dalnoki
Tibor Misovicz
Dr. Sándor Szterényi
Dr. András Cser-Palkovics (Fehérvár AV19)
Gábor Pap (FTC)
Dr. Barna Zsigmond (UTE)
The newly elected leadership will take office starting May 31st 2016
