
Győr won their first Austrian inline title after a 6-5 win over the Kapfenberg Kangaroos
Győr finished out the group stage of the Austrian league with a win with Zoltán Revák leading the Hungarian team in scoring with four points. With the last win Győr finished tied with first place Kapfenberg with 12 point each however the Austrian squad was in first place after the group stage because of the head to head result.
With the second place finish Győr took on Karten in the semi finals, Norbert Fekecs put Győr up 1-0 with a shorthanded goal however the Austrian team flipped the score by scoring twice in the first quarter. After a scoreless second period Revák tied it up at 2-2 in the third. Goals by Balázs Bartalis and Ákos Kiss gave Győr a two goal lead heading into the fourth quarter. The teams exchanged goals in the final period and Győr held on to the two goal lead in the 5-3 lead.
In the finals Győr took on the only team that they lost to during the group stage, Kapfenberg. Győr jumped out to a 3-0 lead on two goals by Revák and one by Mátyás Odnoga. The Hungarian team had a 4-1 lead at halftime as István Terbócs also found the back of the net. In the third period Revák completed his hat trick but Kapfenberg scored twice to cut the deficit to two goals. Kapfenberg continued their comeback as the scored twice more in the fourth period with the second one being a penalty shot. At 5-5 Terbócs scored his second one of the game which would end up being the game winner as Győr held on for the 6-5 win.
Zoltán Revák finished third in point and István Terbócs scored the second most goals.
