
The knockout stage of the 2016 Hungarian Inline championships was held on June 26th, the championship game was a battle between Dana ETO HC Győr and Marczi Skate.

The two teams that finished second and third after the group stage battled in the first semi finals game, Marczi Skate took on defending champions Rokko in the matchup. Marczi Skate took a 1-0 lead after the first period on a goal by Márton Mach but the teams headed into the second half of the game all tied up at 2-2. Balázs Somos gave Rokko the first lead of the game, however goals bz Norbert Fekecs and Attila Orbán put Marczi back on top at the start of the fourth. Late in the game Adrián Tóth tied the game up at 5-5, just as it looked as if the game would go into OT, Balázs Kukucska found the back of the net to give Marczi Skate the 6-5 win and a place in the finals.
The other semifinals game matched the top ranked team Dana ETO HC Inline Győr against fourth place MAC Budapest. Győr went up 3-0 in the opening minutes before István Terbócs scored the first MAC goal. An Ákos Inglis goal cut the Győr lead to one. Győr quickly put themselves back up by two as Balázs Bartalis made it 4-2. Later in the game Győr had a 5-3 lead, MAC cut it to a one goal game when both Zsolt Vajda and Terbócs scored, in the ned Ákos Kiss scored an empty net goal for the 6-4 win.
Rokko faced MAC for the the bronze medal. Csaba Papp scored twice and Róbert Dömötör once as Rokko went up 2-1. In the second period László Fülöp scored twice with Somos also finding the back of the net. Rokko kept up the onslaught throughout the second half of the game. Rokko took a 6-1 lead into the final quarter as they ended up winning 9-1.
The finals started with a quick goal by Imre Peterdi, which was followed up by two nice goals bz Fekecs and Kukucska tacked on a fourth one to make it 4-0 for Marczi. István Bartalis scored a Győr goal to cut the Marczi score to three goals. Both teams scored twice in the second period two keep it a three goal game. A Dávid Szappanos goal put Marczi up by four goals, but Tamás Lencsés scored quickly to keep it at three. Győr picked up the pace in the fourth period as Ákos Halász, Balázs Bartalis and István Bartalis all scored to tie the game up. With game tied 7-7 it looked as Peterdi would score the winning goal as he made it 8-7. In the closing seconds István Bartalis scored a beautiful goal to send teh game into overtime. With just eight seconds left in overtime Ákos Kiss scored teh championship winning from the goal line to give Győr the Hungarian title after they had picked up teh Austrian title the weekend before.
