Vasas-DAB 1-4
With Dunaújváros playing Vasas which is a junior team Lee Gilbert gave Marcell Lajcs the start in net. Missing from the DAB lineup was Imre Peterdi who is recovering from a stroke. Vasas had Gábor Perczel in net. Gergely Borbás made it 1-0 in the first period however Vasas tied it up towards the end of the period when they were awarded a penalty shot after Erik Magosi’s hook, Noel Takács converted on the chance. The goal was also the first goal Vasas scored during the Hungarian Cup qualification round. Dunaújváros pulled away in the second period when they scored twice on goals by Mike McCann and Borbás. Vasas switched goalies for the third period as Csaba Medgyes game in for Perczel and pitched a shutout and the score remained 4-1 for the visitors.
