HC: FTC and Volán pick up important wins

For the first time since losing in a four game sweep to DVTK Debrecen was back on the ice for their final home game of the season. Fehérvár was playing with mostly their EBEL roster after being eliminated from the MOL League playoffs less than 24 hours earlier. Debrecen had MOL League goalie of the year Ádám Vay in net with Fehérvár giving Zoltán Hetényi the start. Chris Bodó gave Fehérvár the lead before the game was even two minutes old after scramble in front of the net. Ákos Berta tied the game up after putting a rebound in, Debrecen took their first lead of the game in the closing minute of the period Danil Kazakov scored a goal from close range. In the second period Fehérvár pulled even by the way of a hard shot from Chris Francis that Vay could not stop. Less than a minute later Debrecen took back the lead when Norbert Dancsfalvi jumped on a loose puck and banged it in, with Fehérvár again tieing it up on Francis shot from the point. Before the period was out Fehérvár took back the lead when Attila Orbán took a shot from the top of the faceoff circle that made it through. Fehérvár would hold on to the one goal through the rest of the second and all of the third period.


FTC-UTE 6-0

Ferencváros had been playing with a short bench recently because of the injuries and suspensions that they had, were forced to play some defensmen at teh forward position. Ferencváros had Krisztián Budai in net with Újpest playing with Ales Sila between the pipes. Csaba Papp made it 1-0 when he scored from the doorstep, less than a minute later Vladimir Dubek snipped one from the right faceoff circle has Ferencváros jumped out to a 2-0 lead against their rivals. Fradi took a 3-0 lead into the first intermission as Gábor Kiss slipped one past Sila for the power play goal. The score remained 3-0 for most of the second period until Viktor Kovács took a pass hesitated for a second and fired the puck down the royal road. Fradi cruised through the third period with a 4-0 lead but tacked on two more goals. UTE was on the power play when Jereme Tendler jumped on a loose puck at center ice, skated in on net and ruffed a snapshot for the short handed goal. Lőrinc Farkas scored the sixth and final goal with Krisztián Budai picking up the shutout win.
