
Cooperation with Szerencsejáték Zrt., up coming seasons coaching staffs and new head of the disciplinary committee were some of the topics on the agenda.
Csaba Kovács updated everyone about what had happened at the IIHF biannual congress in Dubrovnik as well as the updated promotion and relegation system between the A-Pool and Division 1/A. He also mentioned that Péter Gebei has a chance to be a match official at the World Championships in Russia. The chairman for the Olympic Qualifications in February will be IIHF vice president Kalervo Kummola and Igor Nemecek will be the chairman for the womens U18 Division 1 world championships that will be held in Debrecen later in the year.
The HIHF and Szerencsejáték Zrt. the national lottery and sports betting company will be working together and keeping tabs on games, to prevent match fixing. and upholding the integrity of the sport.
Dr. Zsuzsanna Kolbenheyer informed the HIHF of the new changes that are coming to the Women’s national team program. This was due to not as many girls on the U18 playing on the senior team as in year past. Up until this season the same coaching staff was working with all three national teams, senior, U18 and U15. This year Tibor Marton will be coaching the senior team, Norbert Búzás is the head coach of the U18 team and Zuzana Tomcikova will be the goal coach for both teams and Botond Bedő is the video coach. Judit Jasó will be the team manager, László Medgyes, equipment manager and Bence Örsi will be the GM for all three squads. Dr. Kolbenheyer will remain as technical director of the women’s program. The U15 talent program will be lead by Marton and Buzás with the rest of the coaching staff being made up of Botond Bedő, Gergő Tarnai, András Kis, and Boglárka Gegesy will be the goalie coach. There will also be three volunteer coaches as well Dorka Palkó, Csenge Pálkövi and Kinga Koncsag.

Attila Nagy, GM of the men's national team informed the Federation of the changes or in this case what did not change. Rich Chernomaz is back for another season as senior and U20 coach with Glen Williamson supervising everything between the ages of U18 and U13. The coaching staffs will go through some changes as both Williamson and Chernomaz would like to get younger coaches involved.
Dr. Adrien Csanádi will be replacing Dr. Zsuzsanna Kolbenheyer as head of the disciplinary committee until 2018.
The last topic on the agenda was the “Hockey Hungarian” status which was brought to the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation by Linus Schellin, which basically made an addendum to the import regulations. A hockey Hungarian covers the following:
any person who plays five consecutive seasons in the country
is a registered player with the federation during that time span
they must be a permanent citizen of the country
