The close to three hour executive committee meeting covered a number of agenda points. The meeting opened with an update from MOL League president Álmos Szőke about the state of the league and what was discussed at the league meeting on Friday August 14th. The naming right sponsor MOL Group and the league look to extending their cooperation on August 24th when a contract extension will be signed. The cooperation between the HIHF and the RIHF federation was discussed at length as well.
Federation president Csaba Kovács brought to light the television deal between the state TV MTVA and the HIHF which at this time looks to run until October 2018, the deal has not be officially signed. The network will air a minimum of 40 games per season, this can include senior mens and womens national team games, MOL League, Hungarian Cup and all HIHF sanctioned senior club matches, both men's and women's as well as any gala events as well.
The agenda point on insuring the players was covered as well, in the end player registration will be bumped by 600 HUF per player registered.
The HIHF decided to to fill the position that has been vacated by Balázs Kangyal after his contract expired on July 30th. A number of vacated committee positions were also filled, the appeals committee will be headed by Dr. András Szilasi and Dr. Zsuzsanna Kolbenheyer was added to the committee with Dr. Zoltán Nagy and Árpád Varjú being named to the transfer committee.
The last topic on the agenda was the acceptance of the application of the Szombathelyi Korcsolyázó Diák Sport Egyesület as new HIHF member.
