
The Romanian Federation has allowed HSC Csíkszereda and Corona Brasov to enter the two national league for the upcoming season.
For the first time since the Romanian Federation has elected their election the new federation president and executive board met to decide on a number of issues, one of these was the entry of HSC Csíkszereda and Corona Brasov for the 2015-16 season in the league that last year was called the MOL League as well as the Hungarian youth leagues. The request of this was accepted by the Romanian Federation, now only the schedules of to be set and the Romanian teams can compete in the leagues.
“We have received some great news and we thank Mihai Covaliu Romanian Federation president that he kept his word and that the federation will allow this teams to compete in the league. The league will be announcing a reworked schedule soon” said Csaba Kovács Sr., President of the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation.
The president of the league Álmos Szőke said “We are happy about the decision from here on out we just have to set the program, but that is basicly the willingness of both sides to resolve any issues”
The eighth season of the league will be starting on September 11th with defending champions DVTK-Jegesmedvék, Dunaújváros Acélbikák, Deberceni HK, Újpest, Ferencváros, expansion teams Fehérvár AV29 and MAC Budapest will be competing in the league along with Corona Brasov and HSC Csíkszereda.
