
This past week had an overload of games in the Hungarian Cup qualification round as Dunaújváros started match play, MAC finally was able to play a game in the renovated Tüskecsarnok
UTE-Debrecen 2-7
Újpest hoped to improve to 2-0 in the group stage and they started out strong against Debrecen after Róbert Dömötör made it 1-0 in the first period. In the second period Debrecen woke up as they put five goals past József Pleszkán. Ádám Garbacz scored the only UTE goal of the period. The home team was playing without Teemo Elomo and Jozef Mihalik who were serving their first of a two game suspension, Karol Csányi and Miroslav Durak were missing with injuries. Debrecen took the gas off in the third as they only scored twice on Oliver Ágoston who was subbed in for Pleszkán at the start of the third period. Alexey Kaskov finished the game with two goals.
DAB.Docler-FTC 4-2
After being knocked out of the MOL League playoffs early than expected Dunaújváros was back on the ice in the efforts to defend their Hungarian Cup title. Ferencváros jumped out to an early two goal lead on goals from Attila Raja and Csaba Papp but in the second period DAB.Docler defenceman Nathan Martine, who was playing his first game back after being suspended in the MOL playoffs, scored twice to erase the two goal deficit. The third period was all Dunaújváros az Zsolt Azari and Tamás Erdély scored twice to set the 4-2 final.
MAC-FTC 2-7
After the venue was changed twice already MAC Budapest finally was able to debut on their new home ice in the Tüskecsarnok. Because of their busy schedule that will include a number of important games Bob Dever decided to start Norbert Zaka in place of Gergely Arany, defencan Bence Stipsicz was also missing. Ferencváros didn’t take long to to open up the scoring as Ákos Kiss shot one past Zaka from a tight angle 66 seconds into the game. Peter Lechanec and Gábor Kiss with a nice redirection made to 3-0. FTC had a 5-0 after the first twenty minutes as Richárd Hardi and Zoltán Revák also found the back of the net. Fradi took the foot off the gas in the second and third periods as the teams exchange one goal each in the remaining two periods. Richárd Tóth and Bence Bödök scored for MAC with Gábro Kiss and Vladimir Dubek for Ferencváros

The home team had the lead first on a Karol Csányi goal but the lead did not last long as David Croteau and Balázs Somogyi both scored to flip the score in the favor of the visitors. The second period was all Dunaújváros as Somogyi scored his second of the night, which was followed up with a goal by Tamás Pozsgai and Nathan Martine. Újpest managed to score a second goal in the third period as Jussi Tapio beat Janis Kalnins for the goal but it was too late, Ville Eskelinen and Viktor Kovács also scored for Dunaújváros as they won 7-2
