Going into the game Hungary knew that Norway would be a tough team to face, after pitching a shutout against Austria, Renáta Poltzer was back between the pipes against the Scandinavian team.

The first period for Hungary was similar to the one against Austria, however this time Hungary had two power play opportunities that they did not take advantage of as Norway out shot Hungary 12-9.

Karoline Pederson broke the ice for Norway 7:29 into the second period on an even strength goal, in the opening minute of the third period Henriette Behn doubled the lead. Hungary had trouble getting creating shots which prevented them from getting back into the game. In the end Norway outshot Hungary 29 to 15.

With just under three minutes to go a third goal from Norway’s Mathea Fischer ensured that they would be taking the three points.

After two games played in the tournament Hungary has six points.

“Unfortunately we were not able to win, however we did play better than yesterday. This Norwegian team is stronger, faster and bigger, they were better on the one-on-one as well as in front of the net. We worked hard but it was only good for a 3-0 loss, every player can now rest knowing that they did everything that they could,” Tibor Marton Head Coach.
