The day before their big show Travis Pastrana and his Nitro Circus took on some members of the Hungarian national team in a quick game of hockey.
“We travel all over and always try to do something that might have something to do with the local culture.” said Pastrana before his team hit the ice. “The promoter asked us if we would not to play a game against the Hungarian national team, this kind of caught us off guard. We knew Hungary played hockey and someone also had the idea to drift with a semi truck, so we kind have hit two birds with one stone as we drifted in the parking lot as well as had the opportunity to play some hockey and it's also great that the team can do something together.”
Team Nitro Circus borrowed Hungarian goalie Miklós Rajna as they played with five skaters and a goalie with Hungary playing with four and no goalie on the smaller playing area. Score was not kept but the profession players had their way with the extreme sports athletes, all in all everyone had a good time.
“It was great experience, a lot of us like extreme sports, these guys are big stars in their own right and anyone who is familiar with this sport knows that Pastrana is superstar and it's a great honor that they would want to face off against us.” said Csaba Kovács after the game. “There were a couple of them who could play, of course the tricks that we did against them they could do against us on motorcycles.”
