Hungary stay undefeated vs Kazakstan

Hungary hoped to climb into first place and to have control of their destiny with a win over Kazakhstan on Thursday afternoon during the Division 1/B world championships in Asiago Italy.

Head coach Tibor Marton went with Anikó Németh in net, Andi Kiss was back in the lineup after missing the game against Latvia with an injury. Kiss was on the top forward line with teh Pintér sisters Lili and Hanna.

Kazakstan went up 1-0 when they took advantage of the first power play of the day, however just over a minute later Kinga Jókai Szilágyi tied the game up at 1-1. The score stayed teh same up until the first minute of the second period when again Kazakhstan took a one goal lead, this time on an even strength goal. Just past the midway point of the game Kazakstan had a player in the penalty box for charging, Hungary took advantage of this when Zsófia Jókai Szilágyi set up Nora Brgles for the tying goal to make it 2-2. Both teams were gunning for the go ahead goal which was not scored until the 49th minute when Réka Dabasi scored to give Hungary their first lead of the game. The girls would fight for that one goal win to stay undefeated and jump to the top of the standings.

Zsófia Jókai Szilágy was named the best player of team Hungary.
