
After a fantastic start in Kamloops British Columbia, the Hungarian national team stayed unbeaten with a win over Spruce Grove PAC Saints
Hungary-Spruce Grove 8-2
The Saints are located in Alberta Canada and play in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League (AMBHL), former players have moved on to the WHL and the NCAA, former NHL goalie Leland Irving also played for Spruce Grove. Glen Williamson gave Levente Márkus the start in net as he is the third goalie that Hungary has started in the three games. Kristóf Rácz gave Hungary the first lead of the game but later in the period Spruce Grove tied the game up. Before the period was out Balázs Sábián give Hungary a one goal lead as the two teams headed into the second period. The middle stanza was all Hungary as they scored three goals to go up 5-1 after two period. Márk Almási, Sebestyén Kovács and Bence Páterka all found the back of the net. Rácz made it 6-1 in the third but the Saints scored to make it a four goal game. Sábián and Zsolt Egyedi scored in the final two minutes to set the final score.
