On Monday the final 25 man roster that will be hitting the ice in Russia were at the Tüskecsarnok for two practice sessions.
After playing their final exhibition game before the world championships, the team had an off day on Sunday. The team was back at the Tüskecsarnok on Monday and the first order of business was getting fitted for their suits for the world championships, because of this practice was pushed back to 11:00.
During both practice session the team worked on their power play and penalty kill tactics. Following the afternoon practice Zsombor Garát stuck around to work on some skating drills with assistant coach Viktor Tokaji. Tuesday will also have two practice sessions with a press event in between.
Bence Stipsicz: We spent a lot of time working on the power play and the penalty kill. The coaching staff put together the power play units and they went against everyone else and then it was switched up as the PK units were worked. I can hardly wait to go, I will have a chance to go up against some of the top players in the world and it is a great honor to represent my country.
Bence Szirányi: We have our two power play units and today's practice was for them to go over the concepts for the PP. Today I worked on the penalty kill units and tried to give the PP a tough time.
Márton Vas: I am in a very bad mood because I lost a game that we were playing :) We worked on the power play and penalty kill today and this what we are expecting in the coming days. We need to work on these small things so everything goes smoothly in Russia. I can!t wait to go and see how much we have improved since last year.
