IIHF and the Finnish Ice Hockey Association organise "ARENAS 2013" event
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the Finnish Ice Hockey Association organise the ICE HOCKEY ARENAS 2013 event in co-operation with the Tampere Sportec-2013 fair and the City of Tampere. The International Ice Hockey Centre of Excellence (IIHCE) – established by the Sports Institute of Finland – provides a general overview on the main points of the development of international ice hockey.

ICE HOCKEY ARENAS 2013 focuses on providing information about the construction and rebuilding work of ice hockey arenas between the participating countries. Lectures are given in English and interpreted in Russian. The event is subsidised by the Finnish Ministry of Education.

The participants are national associations’ development managers in charge of the conditions, ice arena managers and engineering staff. ICE HOCKEY ARENAS 2013 offers a great opportunity to explore ice arena engineering and business for cities planning to build one. The Finnish participants represent the professionals in the field of ice hockey arena and sports facility construction and building.

The ICE HOCKEY ARENAS event is now organised for the second time. The Ministry of Education commissioned a study on the technology and conditions in ice arenas – we know the conditions in ice hockey arenas and their energy efficiency. With energy efficient solutions, we are able to offer comfortable conditions at reasonable costs for both spectators and active arena users.
