Head coach Attila Hoffmann has announced his final roster for the upcoming Inline World Championships that will be held in Finland.
Attila Hoffmann will be making his debut on the international stage as the head coach of the Hungarian Inline national team at the upcoming world championships that will be held in Tampere Finland from July 5th-11th. He had trimmed the roster on Wednesday with the last round of cuts coming today as goalies András Cziller and Kristóf Vitók along with skater Adrián Tóth will not be on the final team.
“The forming of this roster was based on the defencemen that we had available, Attila Orbán and Balázs Gőz took part in the training camp but for various reason would not have been able to travel with the team to Finland, because of this we had to find skaters who have played on defence before. Among the forwards there was a hard fought battle and I feel bad that we had to cut a such a high caliber player like Adrián Tóth from the team, but we needed one more defender than usual.” said Attila Hoffmann.
Overall I would say we are traveling to the world championships with two good goalies and three good lines. We have a team that his skilled and skates well but the success or failure of this team will depend on how tactically sound the team is, how much we stick to the game plan and our physical condition.”
The team has the weekend off, on Monday at 18:00 they will be playing a friendly against the Czech club Breclav at the Újpest arena and on Tuesday again at 11:00. The game is free to teh public.
