The offseason transfer window continued after Ádám Vay the second national team member from the St.Petersburg World Championship roster to find a new team for the 2016-17 season was defenceman Jesse Dudás.
It was pretty much a signed and sealed deal last summer that Jesse Dudás would be joining TPS in Finland. Dudás would have been coached by Miika Elomo, the brother of former UTE forward Teemu Elomo who had arranged a tryout for the Hungarian-Canadian defenseman. Right before the season was supposed to start Jesse was drawn back to Hungary to DVTK Jegesmedvék by the idea of playing for the Hungarian national team at A-Pool World Championships and TPS held an option to bring him in for the 2016-17 season.
In the meantime Elomo had left TPS however the management was satisfied with what they saw from Dudás and decided to live with the option and bring him in for the upcoming season. Interestingly enough TPS is owned by the Koivu brothers, Saku and Mikko, with the latter playing against Jesse and the Hungarian national team at the World Championships.
Jesser Dudás the former draft pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets joined the Miskolc club during the summer of 2014 when then head coach Gergely Majoross brought him in from the Wichita Thunder of the now defunct CHL.
TPS is located in Turku Finland and plays in the Liiga which is arguably the fourth best league in the world, Jesse will be able to count former NHL star Henrik Tallinder as one of his teammates.
With Dudás signing with TPS he will be joining KalPa forward Balázs Sebők as one of two Hungarian internationals in the top league in Finland.
