Everything is clicking on all cylinders down in Dunaújváros. Balázs Ladányi is back in town and DAB.Docler is ready to go for a three-peat as MOL League champions.
Hometown boy Ladányi is on one line with some familiar faces in Imre Peterdi and Tamás Gröschl. Not only have the three of them played in Dunaújváros together in the past but they were also in the Hungarian national team. All three of them were members of the historic 2008 team that won promotion in Sapporo, Japan.
Balázs said after their 4-2 road win at Ferencvárs that in the first couple of matches not everything seemed smooth for him. Coincidentally those first couple of games he was not playing with his two current linemates. As he continued saying after the game it looks like that everything is clicking and he feels good.
Ladányi left Dunaújváros for Újpest during the 2005 offseason where he had two very productive seasons, becoming the leading scorer in Hungary his second season. After the two years he decided it was time to move on again. He says that he left Hungary to play abroad for two reasons, one was the opportunity to play outside of Hungary, the other one was that he was very dissatisfied with the state that the Hungarian league was in at that time. Ladányi signed with the French club Briancon where he teamed up with two former teammates from Dunaújváros and Hungarian internationals Viktor Szélig and Márton Vas.
After two seasons in France where he had over a point per game Ladányi moved back to Hungary this time to Székesfehérvár who had started playing in Austria in the EBEL. During his stay at Fehérvár he continued what he had produced in the past which was averaging over one point per match, but during last season there was some friction between him and the team. This led to him jumping ship to the Italian league where he finished out the season with Bolzano who are currently in the EBEL.
Ladányi said that the reason he didn't stay in South Tyrol like most of his teammates was that management did not bring them back with only either players coming back for the start of the 2013-14 season. After looking at all the options that he had on the table Balázs decided that the best situation for his on ice career and as well as his family was to come back home to Dunaújváros.
As the title of William Shakespeare's work All's Well That Ends Well Balázs Ladányi expects the season to continue going well for not only him and his linemates but for his family as well.
