For the first time in their history Miskolc has been crowned Hungarian Champion
After winning the MOL League regular season title Miskolc swept Brasov from the playoffs in the semi finals and had a couple of extra days of rest as DAB.Docler and Nové Zámky battled on the other side of the bracket. With Nové Zámky winning the semi final series 4 games to 1 and knocking Dunaújváros out of the playoffs Miskolc was crowned the Hungarian Champions with DAB.Docler finishing second.
This season was head coach Gergely Majoross’ first season coaching a senior team. Looks like the Miskolc management made a good decision to hire Majoross. As a player he won the Hungarian title, MOL League and Hungarian Cup, he now looks to do this all as a coach as well this season.
This is the first trophy that the Miskolc PolarBears have won since their founding in 1978.
