After winning at home 7-0 in front of a packed arena the MOL League finals moved on to Érsekújvár where Nové Zámky hosted Miskolc in an effort to stay a game within the visitors.

After being pulled in game two, Lubomir Hurtaj put Lukas Cikánek back in the net for Nové Zámky, on the otherside Gergely Majoross is riding Bence Bálizs till the end. Game three started much like game two, the players knew that this was a playoff game, but was about it. The game was an intense battle with both sides doing some dirty work. Just as it looked like the first period would be just like the first period in Miskolc Juraj Faith scored in the final minute of the period to give Nové Zámky the 1-0 and the momentum going into the first intermission.

The Miskolc fans travelled well and that might have been the difference as the game went on Miskolc picked up the pace. In the second period Miskolc got on the board as Tyler Metcalfe tied the game up, but this did not last long. Marek Uram parked himself in front of the net and tapped home a rebound off of a Juraj Faith shot from the blueline for the powerplay goal. It looked as if Miskolc shot itself in the foot when Tihamér Becze was tossed from the game for a hit to the head. As Miskolc was still shorthanded because of the Becze penalty Nové Zámky made huge mental mistake as they were caught flat footed on the line change, Jesse Dudas and Metcalfe skated in all alone seemingly from center ice on a two on none and Metcalfe set up Dudas to pull even at 2-2.

The third period was a nail biting twenty minutes, as the minutes slipped off the clock the teams were play more disciplined as only one penalty was called, and that was in the first minutes. There were chances on both sides as the goalies played outstanding, with just under five minutes left in the game Miskolc crashed the net and Adrián Tóth took a feed from the wing and slipped it past Cikánek for the goal.

With the win Miskolc is one win away from winning their first MOL League title in their history on home ice.

Gergely Majoross-”It was an awesome game, Lubomir Hurtaj did a great job getting his team fired up again after losing 7-0. They battled hard, but we had a little more in the tank, it wasn't our best game, but we competed like hell. We are one step away from our dream, probably the toughest step.”

Tyler Metcalfe- “They came out hard which we expected, we knew they wouldn't roll over. Not every game you score seven like last game but when things are clicking we are definitely capable. First period tonight we had our fair share of chances but weren't rewarded and they had a few power plays which gave them some momentum. We killed some big penalties and knew if we kept pressuring their D we would generate chances. Tomorrows game won't be easy again but we are determined to keep the pedal to the floor and make them play at our pace”

Lubomir Hurtaj- “We knew we had to play better than on Wednesday and we did. We were not able to take advantage of the five minute powerplay in the second period where we could have been up by two goals, instead be were scored on after a big mistake. Miskolc is up 3-0 with game four in Miskolc, we will fight until the end.”
