Defending MOL League, Hungarian and Hungarian Cup champion Miskolc is joining the DVTK family, the club will announce the change in the name at tomorrow's press conference.
In their press release earlier today: “The Miskolc PolarBears will have DVTK in the name, the day to day technical management of the club will stay the same but the ownership of the club will change. The hockey team will join the DVTK organization which has branches in multiple sports, starting in the fall the club’s name will reflect the name that has been a part of Miskolc sports since February 6th 1910.
The move is to stabilize the ownership of the team and to have stronger financial resources available for the club, such as the local government and Borsodsport Invest. The day to day operations of the club will remain unchanged. More information will be available after the press conference at the Miskolc mayer’s office."
