Fehérvár was hoping to get back its winning ways after they lost to Ferencváros on Sunday, Dunaújváros lost in overtime to second place MAC Budapest. Fehérvár had Alex Scola in net since Kalnins is still out, DAB had switched back to Breton Lindoff after Duschek had played the last couple of games. Tihamér Becze picked up a penalty on the first shift of the game and DAB capitalized on it when Imre Peterdi scored a power play goal exactly one minute into the contest. Becze made atonement for his mistake, with Fehérvár on the man advantage late in the period Becze managed to put the puck past Lindoff to tie the game at one a piece. The game stayed tied 1-1 until the 36th minute Gergely Borbás scored the second Dunaújváros goal of the game. Becze tied it up again, this time 56 seconds into the third period, however the game did not stay tied for long as Michal Vazan scored with Peterdi and Azari getting the assist on the goal. Late in the game Phil Bushbacher opened up a two goal lead for the visiting team when he scored an unassisted goal, in the end DAB held onto win the Fejér County derby.
