
MAC-SC 2-1
After starting their Hungarian road trip shorthanded bench but now they were at full strength with a full roster. MAC however had to dig deep into their youth system since they Attila Németh and István Mestyán out with injuries and also players missing because of the U20 and U18 national team holding training camp. Bence Bálizs was in net for MAC with Marek Peksa defending the Sport Club cage. The game was scoreless until late in the first period when Ian McDonald made a pass to the left faceoff circle and Michael Quinn ripped it for the opening goal. In the closing minutes with MAC on the power play Niko Saarenpaa skated down the slot picked up a pass from Drew Olson and slipped it past Peksa. The 2-0 lead stayed for much of the second period, with MAC on the power play Alexander Dyadyusko jumped on a loose puck skated in on the right wing and shot out the top corner glove side. The score did not change in the third period and Csíkszereda pulled their goalie.
DVTK-Brasov 5-2
Diósgyőr gave Attila Adorján the start in net with Szilárd Béres in net for Brasov. A couple of players joined Brasov who were hoping not to running into a beating like they did against FTC and MAC over the weekend. Looks the reinforcement helped Brasov as the game was scoreless through the first period and into the second. The first goal wasn’t scored until the 35th minute when Balázs Somogyi scored a power play goal, minutes later Somogyi doubled the DVTK lead. In the third period Diógyőr looked to put the game away as Adrián Tóth and Attila Pavuk scored minute apart to make it 4-0. Tivadar Petres scored the first Brasov goal of the game to make it 4-1. In the closing minutes of the game the two teams exchanged goals as Kalvin Sagert scored the fifth DVTK goal and Árpád Mihály the second Brasov one.
