The injures look to be adding backup for Diósgyőr as they were without Balázs Láda, Levente Szilágyi, Jon Booras and Adrián Tóth, Attila Adorján was in the net. For Fehérvár Alex Scola got the start for the team, Brance Orbán was called back up to the EBEL squad, Tamás Láday, Dániel Mazzag and Márk Szaller were out however Bence Szabó was back in the lineup. Fehérvár took a 1-0 lead on the first power play of the game when Preston Shupe put the puck past Adorján. The game stayed 1-0 through the rest of the first period, which was followed by a scoreless second period. DVTK tied it up in the early part of the third period on a goal by Balázs Somogyi, with Jesse Dudás getting the assist. The game stayed tied for the rest of regulation, with Roland Hajós scoring in overtime to give DVTK two out of the three points.

Visiting Újpst had just about a full roster László Pados was missing and Ales Sila was the starting goalie. Dunaújváros had Dávid Duschek in net with all their big guns in the lineup. Later in the first period Újpest took the first lead of the game on a power play goal by Teemu Elomo. Both goalies played great the rest of the way as neither team scored a goal with the final being 1-0.
