
UTE-Brasov 3-2
The home team was hoping to get back for their road loss at Brasov last weekend, Ales Sila and Karol Csányi were both missing because of a hand injury and Eric Pence was sitting out a suspension, József Pleszkán got the start in net. For Brasov Zoltán Tőke was the starting goalie for the night. Brasov scored first when a delayed penalty was called and Csanád Fodor scored from close range with the extra attacker. Minutes later Tamás Virág shot from the top of the right faceoff circle that bounced off of Tőke and in. In the second period Jozef Mihálik was awarded a penalty shot that Tőke saved as the game remained tied 1-1. With just under two minutes left in the period Fodor scored his second of the game when he skated down through the slot and slipped the puck between Pleszkán’s legs. In the closing seconds of the period the veteran Yevgeni Pysarenko skated in from the left faceoff circle and with some nice stickwork put the puck in the back of the cage. In the third period Martin Turbucz made it a one goal game when scored a power play goal through traffic. In the ned UTE pulled their goalie but they were not able to tie the game up.

Debrecen started Ádám Vay in net and also had a new import in the lineup for the second game in a row, this time Alexander Medvedev made his MOL League debut, coming back from injury was Kasper Emanuelsson. Csíki, Kunayev, Popkov, Berta and Kaskov were also missing from the Debrecen lineup. On the other side Alex Scolas was in net, Ádám Z Hegy and Attila Reiter were missing from the lineup. After a scoreless first, Debrecen went up 1-0 on Erik Piatak’s first MOL League goal. Alex Grieve tied the game up on a power play goal however less than a minute later Áron Könczei set up Norbert Hári to put Debrecen back up by one. Fehérvár tied it up later in the period on Tamás Láday’s first goal of the season. In the closing minutes of the game Debrecen went up 3-2 when Piatak scored his second one of the night. In the end Debrecen held on to pick up three important points.
DAB-SC 3-4 OT
Dunaújváros was fighting for their playoff lives as Breton Lindoff was in net with Mike McCann back in the lineup, however Gellért Hruby, Garrett Milan, Máté Szepessy and Michal Vazan were all missing, Csíkszereda had Marek Peksa in net. The visiting team scored first when Kirils Tambijevs put one past Lindoff on the penalty kill, minutes later he scored a power play goal to go up 2-0. Later in the period Alexander DyaDyushko made it 3-0 for the visiting team. Just past the midway point of the game Brad Smith set up McCann for the first Dunaújváros goal. In the third period Imre Peterdi struck twice for Dunaújváros, first he brought the team within one goal, in the closing minutes DAB pulled the goalie for the extra attacker, this move paid off as Peterdi found the back of the net in the closing seconds of regulation. In the extra session Aleksei Alekseev put one past Lindoff to give Sport Club two out of the three points.
