AV19-SC 4-2

Csíkszereda was in a must win situation as they pretty much needed to win out if they want to make the MOL League playoffs. Székesfehérvár was playing without Attila Reiter, Roland Vokla and Ádám Z. Hegyi with Janis Kalnins in net. Csíkszereda was only playing with six defencemen and had Marek Peksa in net. The home team scored first when Devon Krogh ripped a rocket from the blue line that ended up in the Csíkszereda goal. In the second period with Csíkszereda on the power play Anton Berlev skated through traffic and scored on from close range to tie the game up at 1-1. Less than two minutes later Márk Szaller nicely fed the puck through to Tihamér Becze who slipped the puck past Peksa for the goal. Later in the period Szaller took a pass from Martin Pillok on the blue line and sent a shot on net that ended up in the cage to make it 3-1. Mitch Holmberg scored late in the period from the baseline as Volán went up 4-1. Csíkszereda eventually found their second goal of the game when Kalvis Ozols scored from the corner of the blue line. In the closing minutes of the game there was a tussle in front of the Sport Club bench which resulted both Devon Krogh and Kirils Tambijevs both getting tossed from the game. Fehérvár ended up holding on for the 4-2 win.

DHK-Brasov 10-3

Ádám Vay got the start in net for Debrecen who was playing without Zoltán Csíki, Yevgeni Kunayev and Fydor Kozlovsky, however Ákos Berta was back in the lineup, Brasov had  Rajmond Fülöp in net. Csanád Fodor opened up the scoring in the first period but Alexander Medvedev tied the game up in the closing minute of the opening period. The second period was all Debrecen as they blew the game wide open, in a 75 second span at the beginning of the second period Debrecen scored three times to go up 4-1. Vladislav Troshin, Bronson Kovács and Artyom Vaszjunyin all found the back of the net. Right before the midway point of the game Fodor scored his second goal of the game to get Brasov back within two goals. Debrecen scored twice more to chase Fülöp from the net and get replaced by Szilárd Béres. Martin Saluga and Erik Piatak beat Fülöp but it didn’t take long for Béres to let one in as well. Berta and Troshin both put one past the new goalie before the period was out. Debrecen eased up in the third period as Berta and Medvedev each scored a power play goal with Evgenii Pysarenko scoring Brasov’s third goal of the game on a power play as well.
