MOL League: Important win for Csíkszereda

Both teams were playing for respects as they had already been eliminated from the playoffs, Brasov was playing without a number of key players such as Zoltán Tőke, Árpád Mihély , Attila Imecs, Csanád Fodor, Csanád Virág and Levente Zsók, Rajmond Fülöp got the start in net. For Dunaújváros Dávid Duschek was in net and only Péter Németh was missing because of a suspension. Dunaújváros was up 2-0 before the game was five minute old when both René Léránt and Bence Dörök put the puck past Fülöp, two goals by Michal Vazan 4-0 after the first period. DAB really brought down the hamar in the second period when they ran off five goals in a row with less that two minutes between each one. Léránt scored his second of the game and Brad Smith made it 6-0. Vazan completed his hattrick and Zoltán Revák scored a shootout goal before Brasov got on the scoreboard on a Zsolt Mátyás power play goal. At 8-1 the home team switched goalies as Szilárd Béres came in to Fülöp. Mike McCann scored twice and Imre Peterdi once before the period was out. Heading into the third period Dunaújváros also switched goalies as János Lajcs was getting his first ice time of the season. In the third period Revák scored his second of the game and Garrett Milan scored twice to round out the game at 14-1.

Csíkszereda was playing without Ede Mihály who was sitting out a suspension, Kirils Tambijevs was back in the lineup and Marek Peksa was in net. Fehérvár had Janis Kalnins in net with Ádám Z. Hegyi, Attila Reiter and Gergely Korbuly were out with injury and Devon Krogh was sitting out a one game suspension. Gergő Tóth gave the visitors the lead in the first part of the opening period, ten minutes later Tambijevs tied it up on a power play goal. After a scoreless second period, the score stayed tied 1-1 until the 47th minute when Tambijevs struck again to put Sport Club up 2-1. In the closing minutes of the game Fehérvár pulled their goalie for the extra attacker however Aleksei Alekseev scored an empty netter to make it 3-1.
