MAC-AV19 2-1 OT
For game two of the semifinals series the visiting Fehérvár was playing without Krisztián Szabó and Miklós Rajna started in net. MAC countered with Bence Bálizs in net and Jeff Hayes was sitting out a one game suspension. After the game the night before both teams came out with some bite a MAC win would put them up by two wins with a Fehérvár win would put everything even. Both teams had great scoring chances during the faced paced opening twenty minutes but the two Hungarian national team goals played outstanding. After a scoreless twenty minutes the two teams took it up a notch. MAC struck first on a one timer from Krisztián Nagy in the slot. Later in the period Timahér Becze was sprung by Mitch Holmberg and he slipped the puck past Bálizs to tie the game up at 1-1. The final twenty minutes was an outstanding period as both teams were grinding to find that second goal, both Bálizs and Rajna made some outstanding saves to keep the game deadlocked at 1-1. The game when into overtime, in the “fourth period” both MAC and Volán hit the post and the cross bar, and the game was wide open with the game being 4 on 4. In the closing minutes Bence Stipsicz took a pass from Niko Saarenpaa down in the corner, skated in on goal on the baseline and lifted the puck past Rajna for the OT game winner.

MAC Budapest head coach Gergely Majoross: The game was decided on small things, they game could have been won by either team at the end of regulation of on overtime, games like these always get decided on something small. I think this is more fair than going to overtime.

Fehérvár AV19 head coach Tyler Dietrich: It was a good one, it wasn't the result that we wanted. We worked hard, we had our chances but we couldn't find the one to win it and they did.
